History

Troop 2000 was, for years, Troop 143 in Duluth, Georgia. With a change in our sponsorship on January 1, 1998 we changed our troop number. As Troop 143 we honored 13 Eagle Scouts and as Troop 2000 we have added another 65.

Church of the HillsBoys learn by leading. Troop 2000 is run for the boys by the boys. They plan meetings and activities with adult leadership guidance. The Atlanta Area Council recommends that boys be indentified on the World Wide Web only when their names would appear in other publications anyway (such as when they receive public recognition in the newspaper for a significant accomplishment). Troop 2000 is committed to the safety of our youth.

Location and Sponsorship

We are sponsored by, and meet in the basement of, The Church of the Hills on Bell Road in Johns Creek, Georgia each Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. (except during the summer). Church of the Hills is located just east of Highway 141, across the street from Johns Creek United Methodist Church.
